On Thursday, February 1st, the last press conference took place in Tábor before the start of the Cyclocross World Championships, which takes place at the Komora sports complex from Friday, February 2nd to Sunday, February 4th. Three-time world champion in the elite category Zdeněk Štybar took the first word. "The last moments before the start of the Championships are hectic, because something is always happening around me. I spent most of my career in Belgium, so I get it from both sides," said Štybar at the beginning.

The Czech legend can't wait for everything to break out. "I'm really looking forward to both races. Both for tomorrow and for Sunday," Štybar revealed that he will also run Friday's team relay race. "It will be quite emotional and we will see how I am mentally. I'm looking forward to the races, the fans and the whole atmosphere," added Štybar, who cannot be surprised by anything on the Tábor track. "Each of us has driven the track at least a hundred times. Everyone can be sure that they will finish the race well," added the legend of Czech cycling.

Their guide Zdeněk Štybar also commented on his stay among significantly younger competitors. "When I came to the press center, I was joking a little, because I saw a sign for a home for the elderly... At first I thought that they did this to me on purpose. I didn't know if I was going the right way. I don't feel that way yet. I am happy to be among young competitors who are motivated and have a great desire to advance in their careers. I really enjoyed the training with them. My career once started in Tábor, maybe they will have a similar experience," Štybar added his observation.
